Algalphabet is a typographic project initiated by artist Julien Villaret. From the morphological study of algae, the two highlighted both the aesthetic richness of the underwater plants, and the rigorous system that constitutes letterforms.
TYPEFACE
ALG Bifurcaria takes design inspiration from the seaweed with which it shares its name. The glyphs feature bold, curvilinear branches and a naturalistic feel, making it a versatile choice for both display and body copy.
The font includes a full set of lowercase characters, along with punctuation and numerals. It also includes ligatures, alternates, and discretionary ligatures.
